How it all started...
Warlicks has been meeting to fellowship with believers since 1815. Forty years later we were blessed with a foundational piece of property in Connelly Springs, NC that has become home to our beautiful sanctuary for 170 more years.
Expanding the vision...
Expansion from our cornerstones and founding elders has always come through grace from God. Every penny invested from Warlicks is carefully weighed against our duty; to be good stewards of our finances. 1 Peter 4:10
Over the last 50 years Warlicks has seen tremendous blessings that have given our church family a safe haven to worship, serve and fellowship. A visit to Warlicks‘ Campus in Connelly Springs, NC will put you in the deep heart of Burke County. Located less than 5 miles from HWY 40, Warlicks is on a serene country landscape overlooking iconic Burke county mountains, trees, and of course, a softball field.
At Warlicks we serve; and in all aspects of serving we aim to do it to not only the best our ability, but the ability that we’ve been given through Jesus. This means we serve in lots of ways, many of which are possible inside our Christian Life Center. A two story gymnasium/meeting hall with multiple restrooms, quiet meeting areas, a commercial kitchen, restrooms, a full basketball court and an outside playground.

Where we are headed...
At Warlicks we believe that God is the same today, yesterday, tomorrow and always. We believe that his Son, Jesus Christ, gave us the greatest charge as believers; to go forth and make more disciples. We want our campus, worship service and service missions to address the needs of our community, as they are today.
In our sanctuary you’ll experience how we’ve been extremely fortunate in our church family’s talent and using their Kingdom Gifts. Our Praise Team’s sound is a blend of traditional southern Baptist charm, and some of today’s most popular Christian hits. After worship through song, Warlicks’ Lead Pastor, Gary Murry, will often be found in the pulpit delivering a weekly sermon.
While worshiping, and during Sunday School, members can relax knowing our nursery caregivers are hard at work playing with their littles. When the time comes, your littles will join “KidSize”; a young person designed series that falls in-line with our main sermon series.
What’s next for Warlicks? A new Meeting Hall and Sunday Service Welcome Center. A place to welcome regulars and new members every Sunday morning with a smile, that‘s also a nice location for a small event!
